Why I Haven't Been Posting Much!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting much. I just haven't felt that I had anything whitty to say, you see, this move didn't turn out like "the company" had promised and it has been quite a strain financially for us. I have felt for some time that we have just been "existing", trying to survive and just haven't had alot to post. I do have to say that while each day seems to bring a new trial, we are seeing the Lord meet our needs, albiet not in the grand fashion that I want. The Lord has also provided us with the most wonderful church family. Although we may be lacking financially right now, we are fed exceedingly spiritually speaking. I have turned to the scriptures for comfort many times in these last few months, but my flesh wants the end of the story NOW!!! I "need" to know what's going to happen. This morning I was just randomly reading and the Lord brought me to these verses:

Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Mat 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Mat 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I have also been reading the "Faith Hall of Fame" which can be found in Hebrews Chapter 11. I am praying that I can keep a joyful testimony though all of this because I know that when God brings us through this, I want to be able to tell everyone what an awesome, amazing God we serve. I really have so much to be thankful for that in the "pity party" moments I have to stop and confess and that God for all that I do have.

Not of this world said...

Leah, I am so thankful for you and your spirit. I am sure we could all sit and have a pity party together if we wanted. That is not God's desire. Your post today is so timely as you know my trials. This is what I was given at church last night, Romans 8:28, "As we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
I have to claim that promise while remembering that God's will is not always what I want but is the only thing I need. Our only guarantee is eternity. The message last night ended with James 4:15,"For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." Know that you are a blessing to so many.

Sure will keep continue to keep you in my prayers, Leah. A move is hard enough under 'normal' circumstances.
