he says, "when are your parents going to come visit us"? Isn't that sweet?!? I'm so thankful that my husband and my parents get along so well. I often joke with people that the Lord knew that I needed D to help me raise 2 children and he needed my dad! My parents are planning to visit soon, Lord willing sometime this spring. I have promised them a trip to the Bluewillowinn.com for some good southern food.
We are just plugging right along, the kids got report cards a couple weeks ago and did great. Mariah got straight A's, Devin got A's and B's and Hayden *ahem* did FABULOUSLY. That kid is the greatest skateboarder I know. :) Actually, all of my children are just delightful. I think I like them more as they get older (mom, if you read this, don't laugh too hard). I am still married to the hardest working man I know. He continues to serve the Lord with gladness and really does a good job of being an example to the children. Enough about us.
Please pray for me dear friend, Kerri, she just found out she has thyroid cancer. She had her thyroid removed and assures me the cancer is "the good kind to have". She's a nurse so she says her prognosis is good. When she told me she was going to have the surgery, I spent the next few days thinking of all the memories we've built over the last 25 years! (UGH, we sound old). I love her dearly and pray for quick healing. She has 4 children and they need her at "full strength". She has seen me through dark days and joyful days and I don't know what I'd do without her.
In other news, I am going to a wedding this weekend. My bloggy friend Jessica http://jessicasjournalforjesus.blogspot.com/ invited me to her big day. She only lives about 30 miles away. So we finally get to meet, at her wedding no less!
