Please pray for Carolyn and Beverly
I just wanted to share a prayer request. I have a dear friend, Carolyn, in California. Several months ago her mom, Beverly, was diagnosed with lung cancer. It has advanced rapidly and the doctors have given Beverly 4-6 weeks. Beverly is saved, so we know where she'll spend eternity, however, Carolyn is a young mother who is going through her own difficult set of circumstances. If you want to leave a note of encouragement for Carolyn, please leave it in my comment section and I'll pass them along.

Dear Carolyn,
I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be praying for you. I know you must be going through a difficult time in your life. I praise the Lord your mother is saved and God has prepared a special and beautiful place just for her where there is no pain, crying, or sorrow. Psalm 40 is an encouraging passage that expresses God’s love for us in that He thinks about us. He knows every trial and heartache we go through and He is the God of all comfort. We may not understand it all, but His ways are always perfect. I pray that He would give you and your family strength and use this situation as a testimony of His grace and mercy.

I have to clarify that she doesn't have lung cancer although it is affecting her lung. She has leiomyosarcoma. It's a cancer of the smooth muscles (any organ that's involuntary). It's confusing to explain because there is very little known about it and no cure for it. So far the tumors have made it so her left lung is completely collapsed and were it not for a tube leading out of the sack around her heart, it would be filling up with fluid compressing on her heart.
